Playing Catch Up

Standard

Its almost here!!! Those days when it stays light longer, less clothes are worn, you don’t slip on your butt walking to your car, and COLOR!!! As life thaws out, more and more spring colors are popping up everywhere. Most of you who know me, are fully aware with my obsession with chartreuse. I know you can imagine how excited I was to get that tub of color and get to work.

This is what came of my spring preparation. This incredible stools that I so badly want to take home, but of course I have no room. So they are here in the shop waiting for a good home to love them like I do.

I also recently added a gorgeous antique drop top desk. She’s a beaut, ain’t she?

Stay tuned!!! With warmer comes better working condition which only means….MORE FURNITURE!!!!!!!

Opening Weekend

Standard

It felt like this weekend was a dream! I can’t believe how quickly it has come and gone. Our grand opening/first Revival was a hit! Thank you everyone who came out to support. Shout out to Emiiy, Mavis, Dougie, Tisha and Joe, my In-Laws Carl and Grace for coming in to help pull this all together (and cooked up some delicious food thanks to the Delish Dish Cincinnati http://delishdishcincy.com/). An extra special shout out to my increibly amazing husband Garett, for without him, none of this would have ever come to be. I am so lucky and grateful to have you in my life.  I look forward to seeing many more faces come through the doors of Columbus Furniture Revival!! Here are some photos of the shop and our first Revival!

Image

It’s true! Columbus Furniture Revival has officially signed a lease on a RETAIL SPACE! We are going to be located at 246 S. 4th St. I am so incredibly excited to get the store up and running, but there are a few renovations that need to be done before we open. The store will offer finished furniture, unfinished furniture available for custom, and we will continue to refinish pieces you already own. You will all be invited to the launch party so look out for the invite.

Some pieces that we have been working on!

It might be hard to tell, but the headboard was for a young girl so while the majority of it is white, there is some distressing with PINK! Love love love

A Pop of Turquoise

Standard

It’s the last day to vote for Columbus Furniture Revival at growam.com

We should find out within the next week if all of the voting paid off! Thank you all for your support and for sticking with me while day in and day out I have been bugging you all to vote!

While we wait for the results, I wanted to share a recent dresser I refinished! I received a dresser from a client who wanted it to look pretty much completely different. She gave me a photo for inspiration and left the rest up to me.

She wanted a turquoise color paint with an antiqued finish. We reused the pulls and just gave them a new look and bought 4 knobs for the top drawer. It is definitely a piece that pops and I just love the color!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and don’t forget to vote!!20130430-085342.jpg20130430-085505.jpg

Post-Thanksgiving

Standard

Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend! We had a wonderful time with our families! It was so great having my parents and brother in town to celebrate thanksgiving with my in-laws. Unfortunately, we have not yet moved. But fingers crossed we will be moving in the next few days.

This weekend, as you all know, we participated in the Scotts Antique Show. Because of the game and the holiday, it was a little quiet, but we had a great time. Here are some pictures of pieces we brought!!! If you are interested in any of them, please feel free to contact me and I can let you know what we can do!!

Our laundry basket is now a light celery color. Love it.

Beautiful writing desk.

Side tables and chandelier

Hutch/display

Awesome panoramic picture of our booth!!!

Hope you all have a great day and I will be writing again soon (hopefully from our new house)! Until then, please contact me at columbusfurniturerevival@gmail.com

The Secret Desk Drawer

Standard

Happy almost Thanksgiving!!! Before my family comes in town, I wanted to write a quick post. Last week I delivered the most gorgeous desk to my friend Claudia! She had said that she was looking for a desk that was feminine and classic. I searched all over and while I was at Nieman Bates, a wonderful consignment shop, I found it!!! It was exactly what how she explained.

Not only did she want a classic desk, but she wanted it a nice creamy white. The hardware was already perfect so we didn’t need to worry about that.

During..

As a surprise, I wanted to add a secret punch of color that Claudia didn’t know about until I delivered it. See for yourself!!!

Love it!

If you are in Columbus, OH this weekend, please be sure to visit us at the Scott’s Antique Show at the fairgrounds on November 24-25. As always, please feel free to contact me at columbusfurniturerevival@gmail.com

Childhood Dresser all Grown Up

Standard

Hi everyone out there! Just wanted to post a project I recently finished. I have been so busy I have not been good about taking before pictures! I will need to work on that but in the meantime here is a glance of an adorable dresser. A client had given it to me when I had dropped off her dresser and said she wanted it to look antique as it was a dresser from her husbands childhood. It had huge wooden handles and had experienced lots of love. It just needed a face lift!

Kicked over some stain…Whoops!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday! Please feel free to contact me at columbusfurniturerevival@gmail.com

Keep your eyes peeled for another contest coming up!!!!
