Happenings

Standard

I know, I know. I haven’t written a post in a while and I sincerely apologize. I took a fantastic break in Wisconsin with my family and came home to a crazy schedule!!! I finished and delivered 2 dressers and have been reupholstering up a storm!

You have all seen Claudia’s dresser and it looks beautiful in her room. The other dresser was a custom piece. She had asked for a dresser with at least 6 drawers and for that antique-rustic-worn in look. I finally found the perfect dresser! not only did it have 6 drawers but it also had an additional 3 half drawers. Time to strip it! It had over 3 coats of paint! Woof. We used stripper, we used sand paper, we even used a heat gun! Finally we got it to the point where we could start painting. A nice antique white to go with the theme of antique-rustic-worn. After it was all painted, I went around and distressed the heck out of that dresser! it got to the point where it was enough and I was really started to like the look of the dresser (also hoping the future owner would enjoy it too). Last but not least I got some antique bronze pulls that, I personally think, added the final and perfect touch!

In that last picture you can see Garett working on an old piano. We will be repurposing that…more details to come.
